Oxford and Oxfordshire Active Travel Conference 2021
Join us on 15 April 2021 for the second CoHSAT conference, where we will be discussing all things active travel across Oxford and Oxfordshire. Th event will be online and attendance is free and open to all.
12:00 – Welcome and introduction from CoHSAT.
12:05 – 12:30 – An update from our 2020-2021 projects. Hear from CoHSAT members on these projects:
- The opportunities to convert St Giles into a public space.
- Build Oxford Back Better, a popup experience.
- The provision of good quality, on-road cycle parking where none exists at present.
- Assisting the development of new Healthy Streets and Active Travel groups in several county towns .
- The Walkability Index.
12:30 – 12:50 – The view from the county. An update from Wantage, Abingdon and Bicester on the state of active travel across Oxfordshire.
12:50 – 12:55 – Local Elections 2021: Local elections in the United Kingdom are due to be held on 6 May 2021 for English local councils. Learn about CoHSAT’s survey of candidate views on active travel.
12:55 – 13:15 – David Rogers , from the No Expressway Group, will explain the current status of the Oxford Cambridge Expressway decisions and the proposed growth in household numbers.
