Faringdon is a market town in the Vale of White Horse District. Home to approximately 8,000 people, Faringdon has many cycling & walking routes. The local active travel group, Farcycles, started with an Ecoweek in 2008. In 2019, the group established Faringdon Cycle Park and also run a shop/repair service.
As part of CoHSAT’s support to active travel groups in 2020-2021, CoHSAT supported local cycling group Farcycles to begin the development of a walking and cycling plan for Faringdon. Mark Harrison is leading this effort, and he is also now a Cycling UK Regional Coordinator for the Cycle Advocacy Network.
