In Oxford, many streets have minimal or no places to park a bike, except adjacent to the house on the pavement or in the garden.

This project explored the opportunities to install secure parking, for example the use of cycle hangars by CycleHoop, in North Oxford. A cycle hanger declutters the pavement, can provide lockable, dry, secure protection for bikes and occupies a space that would otherwise be used for a car. Cycle hangars have proved popular and successful in Waltham Forest.
